Thirteenth son and eighth male of Celestino and Raffaella Ferrero della Marmora, he was baptized the day he was born; his godparents were his uncle Paolo and Countess Vittoria di Levaldigi. He was born five months after the death of his father . Unlike his brothers he chose a civil career, eventually reaching the highest rank of Quartermaster General. In this position he served at the headquarters of Annecy, Chambéry and Genoa. His administrative skills earned him on his retirement appointment as Councillor of the State Auditors’ Department. |
