Four exhibitions in the Italian Risorgimento key-places |
From Cagliari in Sardinia to Torino and Biella in Piedmont and finally to Rome, the capital of unified Italy. The exhibition about the La Marmora family and the La Marmora brothers was shown in four places that played a crucial roll in the Italian Risorgimento during the XIXth century.
CAGLIARI 2009 "The in-love explorer. Alberto La Marmora and his Sardinia” Centro Comunale d'Arte e Cultura, il Ghetto, 27th June – 29th November 2009 The exhibition was promoted by the Culture Department of Cagliari municipality together with the Culture Department of the Piedmont regional government. The curator was the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Torino that, together with Centro Studi Generazioni & Luoghi lent many of the shown objects. Organizers were Thorn & Sun in Cagliari and Studio Vassallo in Torino. Sponsors Fondazione “G.Siotto” and “Comitato Sardo per le Celebrazioni del 150° Anniversario dell’Unità d’Italia 1861/2011”, chaired by Cagliari prefect. Design and technical support by E20Progetti. The exhibition had also an edition at “Magazzini della memoria” in Iglesias (Sardinia) from January to September 2010.
TORINO 2010 "Alberto La Marmora, geographer and scientist. Four brothers generals for a united Italy” Regional Museum of Natural Sciences, 17th June – 15th September 2011 Promoted by Associazione Stilelibero and Studio Vassallo, curatorship by Regional Museum of Natural Sciences and Centro Studi Generazioni & Luoghi. Sponsored by Piedmont regional council, Sardinia regional council, Cagliari municipality, the Bersaglieri, Historic Italian Houses Association (Adsi).
